Note to all Naskart Pro Racing Series Drivers

We had some issues this past race with karts oiling down the track. This is major safety concern. Not only does it create dangerous track conditions for us, it creates a problem for classes that follow. All teams have done a good job taking care of this until recently. We understand that sometimes equipment breaks and oil will be lost, that is not the case this past weekend at THR. It is your responsibility to build an oil containment system that functions. Reduced visibility and an oiled down track could lead to a bad accident and noone wants to see that. The post race decision in tech is a warning to all teams to correct this problem immediately. We will continue policing this issue and enforcing the same consequences. A properly running motor should not blow oil. Manipulating the breather system will not be tolerated if it creates dangerous conditions. Whether the oil is coming out of the catch can or it is from another source, it is still a problem. I am sorry to see a fellow competitor lose a result because of this problem but I think everyone agrees that safety should be our first concern.

Proper amount oil for the Honda GX270 crankcase: 750ml.

Breather lines must run to a FUNCTIONING catch can.

Empty the catch can regularly and do not drill holes in it to relieve pressure. (That is where the oil gets out)

If you have any questions on how to do this, ask someone.

After continuing discussions and appeals being reviewed, the decision stands. Race results and points will be adjusted.

It sucks that good racing can get ruined by situations like this. Let's make sure it does not happen again.

See you all at THR's Spectacular on September 23rd. Let's put on a great show.
