2011 South Texas Street Stock Shootout Race Format

Texana Raceway Park will host race #2 of the South Texas Street Stock Shootout.

 

The format will be similiar to last year. NO HEAT RACES. The top 14 fastest qualifiers will be determined with a 2 lap time trial hot lap for each car. We will put a fastest qualifier sponsor together for the events pole sitter. The rest of the field will be determined through a last chance qualifying race. Depending on car count it could be split into 2 last chance qualifying races.

 

We will be posting race formats for the Shady Oaks Speedway race and the I37 Raceway race soon!

Have you formulated a points structure for each event yet? I know that is not major matter, but just curious... Maybe winner of feature getting 150 points and descending from there by 5 points per place or something like that?.... And, if we should get a large turnout at an event where someone does not qualify into the feature, but has in fact paid the registration fee to compete for the points fund, maybe they should get attendance points of 25 or something like that if they had bad luck or something and didn't get to run the feature???
