Pure Stock rules at SOS

Normally I would never change a rule in mid-season. This year how ever, requires a change because all seven registered drivers in Pure Stocks petitioned me for just that. I figure if every driver wants it we should listen. The rules at I-37 are so close to SOS's Pure Stock rules that it only makes good sense to make the change.

 

Effective immediately:

1) weight drops from 3500 to 3400 Lbs.

2) carburetor from 350 cfm to a 500 cfm Holley 4412 or Rochester allowed

3) quick steer (optional)

 

Our Pure Stock two day shoot out purse is up to $400 to win and that is from one small donation of $50 dollars. Let see if we can pump up this purse even larger before the show!!!!

Thanks Jim for listening to the drivers and considering the rule change for the Pure Stocks. There was some talk about making the change during the season with what had taken place with the recent ROLLER TIP ROCKER deal, but I think this change was a well timed one. This is a class in its infantcy and we want to see it grow and be inviting to other local tracks.
