CORPUS CHRISTI SPEEDWAY FEELS THAT 2011 WILL BE A GREAT SEASON

Daytona Beach, Florida (Tuesday, April 12, 2011) - Dan and Kandy Monroe have put their heart & soul into Corpus Christi Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Corpus Christi, TX. As they go into the 2011 season, they believe this will be their best season yet.

"The car count is looking real good and the fan interest is growing," Kandy Monroe, who owns Corpus Christi Speedway with her husband Dan, said. "Compared to the last three years, this season is already looking real good and could be a big turnaround for us."

The quarter-mile asphalt high-banked oval is one of the oldest racetracks in the country that has been in continuous operation. The track was built in 1945 and continues to host Saturday night racing programs during the racing season. It is also the fastest quarter-mile Asphalt Track in Texas.

Their weekly program will feature Front Runners, Texas Thunders, Bombers, Super Streets, and Sport Mods. They also welcome a variety of regional touring series such as the Pro Modifieds, Pro Trucks, Lone Star Legacy Cars, Texas Dwarf Stock, Texas Thunder, and Southern Pro-4.

Corpus Christi Speedway has also returned as an ASA Member Track this season. "We continue to have an awesome experience with ASA," Monroe said. "They do everything they can to work with us and help us. It is a great relationship."

"Dan and Kandy have put a lot of time and effort into getting Corpus Christi Speedway to be a successful track in Texas. We are equally excited as they are about the 2011 season," Dennis Huth, ASA President said. "They feature some very affordable divisions for their competitors and have a good family price for admission. Both of these will make their racing program exciting and entertaining every Saturday night."

Corpus Christi Speedway's address is 241 Flato Road in Corpus Christi, TX. They also provide more information on their website, www.ccspeedway.org.
