NickHolt Posted April 9, 2011 Report Share Posted April 9, 2011 WHITE RECORDS SECOND DOUBLE AT HEART O’ TEXAS SPEEDWAY Waco, Texas (April 8, 2011) – Keith White recorded his second double feature win of the 2011 season claiming the IMCA Modified and IMCA Stock Car divisions Friday night at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway. White settled into second place behind early leader Keith Green in the IMCA Modified event until Green left the track with mechanical issues just past the halfway point of the 20-lap race. White held off a hard charging Benji Kirkpatrick over the final five circuits for his second Modified win of 2011. Pat McGuire, Chase Jupe and Brandon Stewart rounded out the top five. Sam Sovey lead all 15-laps of the IMCA Stock Car feature event and was first to the checkered flag in front of White and Robin Batt but his car was found to be illegal in post-race inspection. White was awarded the win and remains a perfect four for four in the Stock Cars in 2011. Batt challenged White throughout the race and finished second ahead of wife Robin and Matt Guillaume. Lap after lap Randy Doyle stayed smooth and consistent to claim his first IMCA SportMod feature event of the season. Cody Frank pressured Doyle throughout the 20-lap event and finished second followed by T.J. Green, Kevin Green and Bobby Mercer, Jr. In Street Stocks, Brandon Geurin and David Khoury raced nose-to-tail for the second half of the feature event with Geurin holding off a last lap pass attempt to claim his first win of 2011. Bobby Mercer, Jr., Tommy Kirkpatrick and Gordon Coble rounded out the top five. Wade White held off Tommy Honey to win the Pure Stock event while William Dean claimed his first Cruisers feature win.
