Red River Speedway opens 2011 Season Saturday, 3/26

Wichita Falls, Texas (March 24, 2011) - Red River Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Wichita Falls, TX is getting ready to open their 2011 season this Saturday night. Track Promoter Charlie Turner cannot wait for the season to start, as he feels they have a fun season schedule.

"We have a good season lined up for this year," Turner said. "We will have the USST Super Trucks here six times. The Legends will be competing six times and the Topless Modifieds will be coming here twice. I am real excited about this season."

Not only is he excited about the touring divisions that are coming to compete, he also feels that Red River will have four strong weekly divisions this season. "Our Charger division will have some new cars this season and is shaping up to be a good weekly class," Turner announced. "Our Thunderstocks always provide a lot of noise and excitement for the fans. The Super Stocks will be back, and we are hoping that will grow. Our Mod 4's, which are Modifieds who race with a 4-cylinder engine always put on some of the best close racing on our quarter-mile oval."

Turner is also pleased to be part of the ASA Member Track program for 2011. "Everyone recognizes ASA as one of the top sanctioning organizations in auto racing," Turner said. "They really go out of their way to help give short tracks like mine some national exposure."

Another thing that is making Turner optimistic for this season is the support he is getting from the local businesses. "We are selling an Employee Night at the Races packages for the local businesses. We have the whole month of April booked and have some dates open in May and June," Turner said. "We feel that this is a great way for businesses and companies to bring their employees out to Red River for a night of fun and excitement. I also think with employers doing events like this really helps build up the morale around the company."

"We are pleased to have Red River Speedway in our ASA Member Track family," Dennis Huth, ASA President said. "With their four weekly divisions and touring divisions that compete on their quarter-mile oval, fans will always be in for a treat at each event. We wish everyone the best of luck at Red River this season."
