There will be no racing this Friday at Golden Triangle Raceway Park. However, the track will have a racing booth open at the Southeast Texas State Fair. Come by and get one-on-one information about the up-coming races and special spectator events planned for the 2011 season.

Racing resumes, April 1st, with double points being offered to the drivers plus Box Car Races for kids 12 and under during intermission. See the track web site for details about the children’s event. Classes racing will be Limited Modifieds, Street Stock, Hobby Stock, Pure Stock, Jr. Mini Stock and the new Stinger Cars. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and grandstand opens at 6 p.m. Racing action begins at 7:00.

Last Friday, the United States Modified Touring Series put on an outstanding show. They ran five heats and two B-mains leading up to their 40 lap feature. Big winner at the end of the night was Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown Ia.
