Currently, local favorite John O. Whittington of Vidor ranks number one in the USMTS Southeast regional point standings. He is 100 points ahead of the second place driver, Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown, Iowa. Other top five drivers expected to compete are Kelly Shryock of Fertile, Iowa, Jason Hughes of Westville, Oklahoma, and Bumper Jones of Mesilla Park, New Mexico. At least seven states will be represented by this outstanding cast of “hot shoes” who always give it their all.

Racing on the same program with the modifieds will be limited modifieds, street stocks and hobby stocks.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. this week and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. as usual. Racing action gets underway at 7:45. Don’t be late. This is going to be a thriller!

Golden Triangle Raceway is located on W. Hwy. 90 between Beaumont and China, Texas. There will be no racing at the track on March. 25. However, we hope fans will visit the GTRP booth at the Southeast Texas State Fair.
