A special modified competition will also begin this Friday. The 360 Motorsport Texas 2-Step competition is an 8 week series being hosted by GTRP and Gator Speedway in Willis. It should be and exciting event with bonus money and prizes being offered to all participating modified drivers.

The opening night ASCS sprint show last Friday was fantastic! The sprints ran five heat races, two B-mains, and a 25 lap feature. Sam Hafertepe wheeled into the spotlight and took the $3000 first place prize home to Sunnyvale, TX. If you were unable to make this thrilling opener, the sprints will return to GTRP action on April 15.

Winners in the GTRP classes racing were: Randy Bridges, limited modified; Stuart Sandoz, street stock; Britt Seaman, hobby stock; and Blake Adair, Jr. mini stock.

Golden Triangle Raceway Park is located on W. Hwy. 90 between Beaumont and China, Texas. Grandstand admission is $10 for 12 and up, $5 for children 6 to 11 years old, and children 5 and under are FREE. Special “family packages” are available.

For more information about the races, rules, or up-coming events log on to www.gtrpbmt.com or call 409-752-7200. GTRP is always the place for family fun and fast lane entertainment.
