TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY TO BECOME FIRST NASCAR TRACK FEATURED ON STATE LICENSE PLATE

FORT WORTH, Texas (March 2, 2011) – Texas Motor Speedway will become the first NASCAR track to be featured on a state license plate as the speedway has partnered with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles to provide Texans with a customized plate.

The customized license plate is emblazoned with the iconic Texas Motor Speedway logo and accompanied with the famous tagline, “The Great American Speedway!” The plate also features a traditional checkered flag in the background.

“We are excited that Texas Motor Speedway’s loyal race fans will be able to show their support 24/7 as they drive across the Lone Star State,” Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said. “Texas Motor Speedway is home to the most loyal race fans, so I foresee these plates being seen all over Texas’ highways.”

The made-to-order plates currently are available for pre-order and will be released in May. The personalized plate costs $55 for one year, $195 for five years or $295 for 10 years. The plate is available by visiting www.myplates.com or by calling (888) 769-7528.
