A-Line Auto Parts steps up its sponsorships at Thunderhill Raceway

KYLE, TX (February 18, 2011) – Thunderhill Raceway’s Season Opener in Kyle, TX, is right around the corner – starting out this year’s racing events on Saturday, March 5. As Thunderhill Raceway (THR) begins its 14th season, it’s proud to announce the return of one of its most loyal and long-standing sponsors – A-Line Auto Parts.

A-Line Auto Parts has been sponsoring the Super Stock class for many years, and they will continue to show their support for this growing and exciting class of cars. Since the Super Stocks are now being sanctioned by NASCAR, they will be known as the NASCAR A-Line Super Stocks in 2011. Over 30 drivers have already registered for this division during THR’s pre-season activities.

“We’re really pleased that A-Line has decided to continue their partnership with the Super Stocks at Thunderhill Raceway this year,” commented Mary Ann Naumann, THR’s Owner/Promoter. “Their loyalty and support of local stock car racing is greatly appreciated by Thunderhill Raceway’s staff, drivers and fans.”

To further their support of Thunderhill Raceway, A-Line Auto Parts has just signed on to become the title sponsor for the NASCAR Modifieds at THR.

The NASCAR Modifieds has already been selected as the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Division 1 class for both Thunderhill Raceway and Houston Motorsports Park, and drivers in this division will compete for local, state and national titles. Also, at a recent Track Operators meeting, NASCAR announced that they are lowering the minimum age limit for the Division 1 class to 14 (formerly 16). This change will open the doors for an even bigger drivers’ roster in the NASCAR Modifieds division.

“Adding A-Line as a sponsor this year and lowering the age limit for the NASCAR Modifieds is a great boost for the track and the drivers,” added Naumann. “We have high hopes that one of our drivers in this division will snag the state and national championship titles, and we know A-Line will enjoy being a part of this prestigious honor.”

A-Line Auto Parts feels that this sponsorship opportunity is good for their company’s exposure and will benefit its customers and employees.

“We’re really excited this year about being a part of the notoriety that Thunderhill Raceway has gained over the past few years,” said Lindsey Finlay, Marketing Coordinator for A-Line Auto Parts. “The track started out so small and it has grown so much. We also feel that our involvement with Thunderhill Raceway gives us a great sense of community – doing our part to share this incredible facility with our customers and our employees.”

A-Line Auto Parts has stores located all over central and south Texas – in Austin, Waco, Houston, San Antonio, Laredo and everywhere in between these cities. Currently, the Austin area has 15 locations and it’s continuing to grow. Visit the A-Line website at www.ALineAuto.com for more information.

Thunderhill Raceway is a 3/8-mile, D-shaped asphalt oval track that’s located at 24801 IH-35, Kyle (TX), just north of San Marcos and south of Austin, at Exit #210 (Yarrington Road), just behind the Roger Beasley Hyundai dealer (formerly ThunderZone). Information on Thunderhill Raceway may be found on the track website at www.thunderhillraceway.com.
