NickHolt Posted April 6, 2003 Report Share Posted April 6, 2003 Eddie Wallace won the ROMCO 125-lap feature event at Thunder Hill Raceway Saturday night (4/5/03). Wallace followed pole-sitter and race leader John David, Jr., for the entire race, but was able to slip under him through the third and fourth turns just two or three laps from the end. Wallace had been putting heavy pressure on David for several laps before the pass. Tommy Grimes and Brandon Bendele also freight-trained under David who ended up finishing fourth behind Grimes and Bendele. Bendele qualified first, Grimes second, Wallace third and David fourth. The top four quailiers were inverted. There were several yellow flag periods for a variety of spins and minor wrecks. Doug Hooks was invovled with an early skirmish and finished several laps down after making extensive body work repairs. T. Wade Welch finished fifth, John Kelly 6th and Chris Davidson 7th, all on the lead lap. Complete results will be posted after we get them from ROMCO.
