The left side tire is the EC-31 and the right side is the EC51. THERE IS NO TIRE TREATMENTS ALLOWED. IT WILL BE AN IMPOUND RACE. The race will be a 4TIRE RULE. After talking with Montgomery Motor Speedway Officials, their 125 lap races are 125 green laps and they also have a 4 tire rule. The Super Stars run the first five caution laps and then stop counting, so to help keep down costs, it will be a 4Tire Race. After qualifying on Friday night, all tires will be impounded and will be released on Saturday as the cars roll to the grid. We hope this will help out race teams. Vir
Six Grand to win and only 10 cars showed up. I wonder if there was a problem with the SLMs being legal for this race. I am sure it had nothing to do with MMS as it is one of the best tracks around. No cars from the FFs or MIS tracks seems mighty strange to me. BamaChief
I wish I knew....We have had very few cars from those tracks. Gresham only had 9 SLM's for the George Elliott race so I have no idea what was up. Football, Economy, or just didnt want to race? who knows...... Vir
SLM racing, like me, is fast going downhill. I haven't been to a race this year, and probably will not make any the rest of the year. Do I miss it? Hell yeah! My mind says go, but my body says no. The thing I miss most is all the friends I have made over the years at all the tracks around the South, Montgomery Motorhead, Snowball, Texas Tom, Rocoengineer, MachI and his relatives at SAS, John the flagman at MMS, Casey and his Dad, and Pat N. at 5Flags. There are many more I have left out. Danny has now inherited my tickets to the Snowball Derby, so they are still in the family.
