Thunderhill Experience

Recommended Posts

There aren't enough words to say just how grateful and blessed we are to be able to race with the kind of community that Thunderhill encourages. Jake was involved in a rather serious hit in practice yesterday with another competitor. The quick response from the medical folks, track crew and officials was fantastic. Once we were able to get the car back to the trailer and assess the damage our "family" showed up to lend a helping hand. That "family" consisted of Ted Kerr, Kris Kerr, Bob McCall and the entire Dallenbach team. Without their outstanding help and support we would not have been able to make the feature race. Thunderhill walks the walk when it comes to making sure the community spirit prevails. They promote that atmosphere like no other track and it truly shows! This morning Jake's back is a bit stiff and sore, but he is happy that he has such a great group to race with. In addition Jake had a new head/neck restraint system that we were trying out and it really did a great job of protecting him. Again our thanks to all who helped and to Thunderhill.

Secondly after we landed back at the house, we received a phone call from Chris who had a flat not to far from the track. Once again Thunderhill came to the rescue and picked up the car and Chris and took him back to the track. Many thanks to those involved in his rescue as well.
