tqj3
Close, Tommy. Looks like Casey missed the first practice session and was a tenth off the fastest car (Stephen Leicht) in the second session, 17th quick. They should be qualifying now, with Reed Sorenson in a backup car after whacking the wall. Casey will be the 23rd to make his qualifying attempt. ASA is pretty good about getting updates on their web site fairly quickly, so we should have the grid in a hour or so.

wkr77
"Casey Smith, third in points, took to the track in the No. 19 Smith Racing Dodge, but never got to speed and pulled off the track before taking the green flag. The team immediately went under the hood and Smith was able to make a qualifying attempt. He was relegated as second round qualifier but could only pull off a lap of 161.856-mph. Smith will start in 22nd position based on 2004 points." From the ASA website... Tim
