GregGurley Posted April 23, 2004 Report Share Posted April 23, 2004 Thunder Hill Raceway had three cars make an appearance at the Dahlstrom Middle School in Buda today as part of their Spirit Day. There were two THR Late Model Cars (David Snokhous and Leland Waddell) and a Mini Cup car all from the Ison Racing Team. Over 500 kids came out during their lunch hour to see the cars and they had a blast. They enjoyed climbing into the drivers seat, asking questions and hearing those engines fire up! The principal and faculty at Dahlstrom appreciated us being there and it was a lot of fun. Thanks to Chuck Licata for making the arrangements with the school and thanks to David Snokhous, Leland Waddell and Clyde Ison for taking the time to bring their cars out today. We did not have enough for all 500+ kids but probably half of them. The Principal at Dahlstrom will be giving them out as awards for perfect attendance, good grades...etc. I hope we get a good turn out from the school.
