"We asked tire dealers to reccomend a reliable, repeatable tire that is cost effecient for our racers, provides good wear, and will allow us to put on a good show for our fans.” commented Sledge Larsen of the USLMA. “After taking a hard look at all manufacturers, we believe the folks at Goodyear have provided just what we asked for.” The Goodyear G24 tire will be available for purchase immediatly by contacting the USLMA. Additionally, the USLMA plans to ship an allotment of tires prior to the first event of the season to Altus Speedway for purchase for local teams. Modified racing on the High Plains will begin a new era on Saturday evening April 3rd when the USLMA Modified Series competes for the first time on opening night at the revitalized Altus Speedway in Altus, Oklahoma.
