This will be the second stop on this year's circuit for the series. If the season opener is an indicator for what race fans will see this year, the race for the championship will be a hotly contested battle every week. Houstonian, Mike Yale, currently stands on the top step of the point's race after winning the season opening race at Corpus Christi Speedway last month. "We still need to change the gears and a couple of springs," said Yale about what he still needs to do in preparation for the Houston race. "We don't have much left to do to be ready for Houston." With the new racing surface installed last year, Houston Motorsports Park has become a very fast and competitive track. At last September's Space City 125, drivers found passing easier than before and gave fans the most exciting finish in Texas Super Racing Series history with a spectacular photo finish. "I can't say enough about the Houston track. The Baker family is outstanding to work with," said Texas Super Racing Series founder, Mary Ann Naumann, "We are very excited to be back in Houston." Houston Motorsports Park owner, Graham Baker, has put together a great evening of racing for fans this weekend.
