carls Posted February 27, 2010 Report Share Posted February 27, 2010 Hi, I'm a new member and posting this info here regarding Bill Barringer, since he doesn't use a computer and is too stubborn to learn Bill is the son of Wichita Falls racer George Barringer. he was present at the 2008 Racers reunion that lloyd Ruby attended and talked to me of all the terrific racers he met at that event in Wichita Falls. Wanted you to know he is still kicking and we are preparing our cars for next weekends Route 66 California Speedway Event sponsored by Historic Champ/Indycar. I towed to Texas World Speedway last Nov and Bill swears he will do the same this coming year Here's a photo of Bill in my 1927 Miller Tribute Car. Last time a Barringer sat in one of these it was over 80 years ago.
