CC57
Can anyone tell me who in the Houston area could perform a specific gravity test with a hydrometer on my M1 (no, not the tank)? Checked with 2 VP dealers and so far no success. Thanks in advance
poorboy
Why do you want to test it? I think you can buy a hydrometer from just about any tool company so you can test it youself.
CC57
Why do you want to test it? I want to test to see if any moisture or any other contaniments have built up in the fuel since going into storage at the end of October of 2009. I poured my remaining M1 into my VP drum at the end of last raceseason. The drum is over 90% full, with the cap on tight and stored in an attached garage. I think you can buy a hydrometer from just about any tool company so you can test it youself. As far as testing myself, I'm not sure that I would know how to interpret what I'm reading from the meter to know whether the fuel is good or not. poorboy
As long as them cap is good and tight I wouldn't worry about it. I have kept alcohol for atleast 6 months before and never had a problem.
