txtom Posted April 19, 2004 Report Share Posted April 19, 2004 The simple answer is the information got turned around between the pit area and the announcer. Chris was an early qualifier, and held the quick time through most of the qualifying. Several qualifiers bettered his time late in the session; going late in the day when it started to cool down probably was to their favor.
