Clear Lake Racing Fan Posted April 12, 2004 Report Share Posted April 12, 2004 Several races were run prior to the rain. Five or six late models showed up to run 50 laps. I didn't know who they were. There was a serious wreck in the Bandoleros. I hope the kids are alright. One kid spun in turn two, and another t-boned him at full speed. One of the cars was running in circles out of control after the wreck. Track workers were diving on the car to get it stopped. Looked like the kid may have been knocked out. I didn't have my scanner, so I don't know for sure. I sure hope it wasn't as bad as it looked. While they were getting the kids out of the cars, it started pouring. As I left the track, an ambulance went by me headed to the track. The rain was so bad that cars could not drive on Beltway 8. I hope the ambulance was able to get out.
