dano36 Posted November 3, 2009 Report Share Posted November 3, 2009 Just read on the CRA website that the rescheduled All American Weekend and Nashville (TN) Fairgrounds Speedway has been cancelled and will not be ran in 2009. With the information last week that the promoter did not release the speedway for next year looks as if that grand race track will go the way of the dinosaurs. What a shame. There are races scheduled there on Nov 21, 2009 with two other CRA series competing but the Super Late Models will not run. Sorry Colt. Was looking forward to you getting a guitar. The current promoter does not feel that it is the best interest of the racers to run a half season. Damn shame, I saw some great Late Model racing there. But the good Mayor of Nashville feels that a greenzone better serves the community. Keep in mind that the track was self supporting; IE no tax money involved. Now Nashville tax payers will get to pay for, and maintain, something that will be underutilized within a year of being finished. Every greenzone or park setting that I have seen built anywhere opens to rave reviews, and people falling over each other. Within a year, you have the place to yourself.
