hubb44 Posted March 20, 2003 Report Share Posted March 20, 2003 The weather is of little concern to Saratoga Speedway officials as they prepare for this Saturday night's return of late model racing to their 1/4 mile clay oval. What they are most concerned about is the number of cars who will show for the first of six Nueces Power Equipment late model events considering that the class has been inactive for nearly six years. There are a number of aftermarket chassis, late models around under a number of different weight and motor rulses and it is Saratogaq's and NPE's desire to get as many of them as possible to make this first show in order to grow the class for a, later this year, $1000 to win event. There is no increase in admission for this show which will be added to the regular race program of open wheel, super stock, pure stock and hobby stocks. those interested can still bring their coolers, 14 inch maximum.
