We have a 10 1/2 inch ram clutch and the splines just stripped off! How much slack are you supposed to have between the input shaft on the trans and the clutch disc? Thanks for any help or answers! matthew hodge Been a long time since i've taken a standard apart, but I would check the input shaft bearing for excessive play as well as the pilot bearing, we had an old race car once splines stripped out, the guys threw another clutch and pressure plate in it, lasted about two nights, same thing, after a little investigation we learned the crank shaft didnt even have a pilot bearing!
