Texas Pro Sedans Revised 2009 Schedule

A revised 2009 race schedule has been announced for the ongoing Texas Pro Sedans racing season.

The schedule celebrates the 34th consecutive year of racing by the TPS four cylinder stock car series.

A previously scheduled two day event at Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas has been revised to a one day

race on Saturday, September 5. The event change was jointly agreed between Charles A. Turner, President,

Red River Speedway and Neil Upchurch, Race & Administrative Director, Texas Pro Sedans. They cited the

current state of the economy in America as the compelling reason and their faith of it improving in 2010.

Highlighting the revised and remaining TPS schedule are two remaining races at Kyle, Texas’ Thunderhill Raceway,

and one revised and re-signed race at Red River Speedway on the Labor Day weekend on Saturday.

Race Date - Track/Event (race remarks)

August 8 --- Thunderhill Raceway, Kyle, TX - 2 – 8 lap Qualifying Heats, 20 lap Feature Race

Sept 5 ------ Red River Speedway, Wichita Falls - Time Trials, Last Chance Qual Race, 40 Lap Feature Race

October 10 - Thunderhill Raceway - Time Trials & 34 Lap Feature Race, “13th THR Stock Car Spectacular”

In the event of postponement, the following rain date policy has been agreed upon between the tracks and TPS:

Thunderhill Raceway will attempt to reschedule all rained out events on dates to be announced.

At Red River Speedway, if necessary, Sunday, September 6 will be the rain date.

The 2009 TPS Revised Schedule, like most other racing schedules, “is subject to change, addition, deletion”.
