GOLDEN TRIANGLE RACEWAY PARK PRESS RELEASE - 7/26/09

Last Friday the rain skirted the track and the long awaited Kettl Memorial Race race went into the record books. Roger Kettl, grandson of matriarch Joe “Pa” Kettl was the runner-up to Ronnie Mekalip in the pure stock class. One of the great, great grandchildren was a winner in the box-car races during intermission. In that event young race fans got to build, design, and race their own car made out of cardboard boxes. It was great fun for the participants and for the fans in the stands to watch.

All Golden Triangle Raceway classes will race this Friday, July 31, for double points. The action every week at the local dirt track is exciting, but with double points at stake in the 2009 championship standings fans can expect the competition to be extreme.
