NickHolt Posted July 18, 2009 Report Share Posted July 18, 2009 I plan on traveling to Houston Motorsports Park on Saturday (July 18, 2009) to grab some new video for the site and to report all the "Whalen Night at the Races" racing action using our new "Cover it Live" blogging software. In order to get to the live blog, just go to the Lone Star Speedzone front page and click on the "Live Blog from Houston Motorsports Park, 7/18/09" (one of the listings on the left side of the page). It will take you to the "Cover it Live" interface where you can not only see what I have to say about the racing but also make comments or ask questions or just say "Hello!" I plan on starting the blog at at 6:00 p.m., but I may fire it up a bit early if we get done all the video stuff we have planned before then. NickHolt Posted July 18, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 18, 2009 It's hot here... surprise, surpirse.. but we did make it through the pits and got some good interviews with some Eco Stock drivers and even chatted with some some folks looking to buy an Eco Stock. Of course we managed to squeeze in a few interviews with some of the NASCAR Cricket Modified drivers as well. These shows should be up in the next week or two. Right now I'm going to fire up the Live Blog, so if you want to come over a bit early, just go over to the Lone Star Speedzone front page and click on the "Live Blog from Houston Motorsports Park, 7/18/09" headline on the left hand side of the page right under the Video window. NickHolt Posted July 19, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 19, 2009 Hated that HMP had to call the races off... but at least we saw a little action - five heat races including the NASCAR Cricket Modified heat. I was having fun with the Live Blog and even had a few surprises in store - but I didn't get to use them. One of them was that I had recorded some of the drivers making predictions about who would win the feature in their particular class. I was going to post them for all the world to hear before the respective features.. Oh well... Mother Nature had her way this time. Anyway, the Live Blog stays up on the front page so anyone wanting to read what happened during those five heat races can check it out...
