It's in the Timing

Recommended Posts

We found problems with the timing keys in several of the naskarts during the work session on Saturday.

Some had the wrong timing key (3 degree of advance instead of 8 degree) and some had the Key shifted to the stock position.

The timing makes a huge difference in these small motors. When we found the timing problem in Lyndons #5's new motor at the last race, his Kart went from a middle of the pack preformer to the winner of the feature. He picked up 500 RPM with just that ajustment.

Please understand thougth, Performance alone will not get you to the front. It takes understanding your chassis set up and driving plays a major roll also.

With the preformance issue resolved, I predict a more exciting race for the fans next time out.
