UPDATE FOR TOMORROW

jamie37,

We have been trying to keep everyone up to date for most of the day. As soon as we hear anything definite we'll let everyone know.

At this point (9:35 p.m.) there is a fairly sizable line of showers heading straight towards the track which should be hitting the San Antonio area in a couple of hours. The weather service is predicting that rainfall will be around one-half to one inch per hour once it finally arrives. If that's true, the races will certainly be called off since the parking lot will become a mudfield.

Sometimes, however, the weather forecasters get it wrong. Let's hope the rain either dies down before it reaches the track or the rain somehow misses the area where the track is located.

In any event, we will try to keep you posted.

At 8:30 a.m. in NW San Antonio there is a light drizzle and everything is dripping wet.

The weatherman says: Through 10 am...scattered showers will move northeast across the region. Expect general rainfall amounts of one tenth inch.

The weather radar show a few scattered showers from Del Rio through Uvalde and San Antonio.

No word from the track so I assume everything is still on a "Go Mode."
