WoW, What a race

Recommended Posts

The NasKarts Racing Series rolled into Houston Motor Sports Park on Saturday and put on quite a show for the fans.

They had a record number of NasKarts show up. "15 in all." This track is a perfect venue for the NasKarts, with its wide lanes and smooth surface, in addition to the walls all the way around that hold in the sound of the motors.

The heat race had the drivers going 4 wide down the backstreach jocking for position . The lead change numerous times and the finish was a close one for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

The anouncer said, and this is just the heat race. The fans aplauded after the race was finished.

Even though the track is the same legenth as Thunder Hill, The Lap times are about 3/4 of a second quicker at HMS. They seem to accelerate through the long sweeping corners, which makes it very exciting for the fansd and also the drivers. The soudn of the Karts when they are up to speed becomes a symphony of sound that is different from any other class. The walls surounding the track holds the engine note and echos it into the grand stands to excentuate the excitement.

The main was just as expected with 6 or seven karts changing poitions every lap. I think their were 5 lead changes before the competition yellow. Had the 17 and the 14 NasKarts not of had medcanical problems that side lined them the finnish would have been even more exciting.

Team Rock Hard Racing came in 1st and 2nd. This was a much deserved win for that team that has been knocing on the door of vuictory all season.

Chris Terry, aka: the Oklahoma kid won, driving the #24 and Marty Krise ( Owner Of Rock Hard Racing ) came in second.
