TRP
Hey Everyone, at our next event on May 9th, it will be the return of a huge fan favorite the "Spectator Races". This is something that was always a favorite of the fans when I was growing up, and I talked Bruce into trying it back in 2007. It was big fun and last year in 2008, there was something like 12 folks giving it a try. A spectator racer this year just might be next years newest dirt track full season competitor once they get the fever. Who can do this? Anyone who is 18 years of age or older and who is not a registered racer this season. What is required? First, you must have a currently registered and currently inspected street vehicle. No motorcycles or three wheeled vehicles. Must be four or more wheeled vehicles. Bring or borrow a helmet. How does this work? Competitors are paired up for a one on one competition. The two competitors take one lap. The loser exits the track and the winner goes to the infield for another round. The pairings continue until two remain. The last two competitors go for two laps to determine who will be crowned the Spectator Racer Champion of 2009. What does it cost to enter? Each competitor must purchase a pit pass. No entry fees other than a pit pass are required. Pass the word to your friends who have always wanted to give it a try. Big Fun!!! -Monty
