racerjim2
Keith, the purpose of taking 1st gaer out of the muncies is that they usually lockup with 1st gear removed it make they more reliable. 1st,2nd,3rd, or 4th gear ratio?
1-Crew
I always thought the main reason for removing 1st was the amount or rotating mass in the cluster gear. In many boxes (not sure about the Muncie) the cluster gear turns even in high gear (1:1). That would also mean the only beneficial way to remove it is to machine the entire first gear of the cluster gear.
