3nracing97
I am wanting to put and alternator on my 604 crate engine. It is in an 03 Port City straight rail. The kit from GM performance parts looks good but I want to check out other options first. The motor currently has a cog type belt on the crank to the water pump that I want to replace. The power steering pump is on the rear end so I will need one belt to just go around the crank to water pump and from what I have seen the alternator should run it's belt from itself to the water pump. Anyone have any dealings with this or just a better idea? Thanks, Kevin
Truck99
The best deal I've found for the setup you're after is a serpentine kit from KRC. www.krcpower.com You can get a kit with the bracket, alternator, pulleys, belts, and hardware all together.
