The WoO LMS will notably end long absences from the racing scenes in Texas and West Virginia, contesting events in each state for the first time since 2004. Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas, is scheduled to host the tour on March 20 and Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, W.Va., will bring full-fender Outlaws competition to the Mountaneer State – home to 20-year-old WoO LMS star Josh Richards – on May 31. claybuster Posted January 16, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 16, 2009 Here is a update on the WoO Latemodel race copied from houstonarearacing.com Ok race fans, you want it you got it. Months back Battleground Speedway scheduled the World of Outlaw Late Models for March 20, 2009 (Friday night). One of the reasons this was possible was because of another track in Lousiana was going to run the Saturday night show. Since then, the second track backed out and we were left with our Friday show all alone. This created a huge problem for everyone involved. The week prior to our race they were scheduled to be in Alabama. Then come to Texas, then Lousiana and work back to the Carolinas the following week. With no Saturday show scheduled and the cost of travel for just one night, this was not feasible. Texas would have very likely lost the opportunity to have these guys. So that being said, we stepped up to the plate and upped the anty. You ready? How about a 2 day, 100 lap feature, $1,000 a lap, $20,000 to win show? That's right. A $100,000 purse for the World of Outlaws. Grab all your friends and family and lets show these guys that Battleground Speedway and Texas is the place to be on March 20th and 21st.
