NasKarts Racing Series seats 2009 Board of Directors

The 2008 Board is happy to announce the 2009 Board of Directors.

 

Mike Steinman will be staying on for 2009 as Chairman of the Board.

Lyndon Kirk will now be on the Board, replacing Smitty

Travis Roberts will be on the board, replacing Roy Smith

Steve Pepper will be on the board as Treasurer.

 

Roy Smith will continue as the official NasKart Annoucer.

 

At the board meeting last night, it didn't take long for the new members to swing into action. Rules were discussed for 2009 and a rough draft will be compiled by Chairman, Steinman. Race dates were discussed. Houston Motor Sports Park has given some tenitive dates for the NasKarts to race there. Unofficially their are four dates for points races and one date for an Exibition Race at HMS. The full schedule will take some time to compile because of the new road course venues availible and also the Thunder Hill Schedule being published.

The new Board is anxious to provide the NasKart group with a fun and exciting racing schedule for next year.

 

The Exibition Race at Houston Motor Sports Park will be part of the Monstor Truck Extravaganza benifiting the Ronald McDonald House in Houston. The NasKarts were invited this year but because of the hectic schedule, it wasn't possible to attend. This event draws the largest crowd of the year at HMS (over 6,000) and we are glad to be invited to be a part of such a worthwhile event. The event will be held on Holloween next year, October 25th.

 

Come on out to the General meeting on Thursday November 20, where more details and member imput will be requested by the New 2009 NasKarts Racing Series Board of Directors. The meeting will be at the NasKart Shop. All owners, drivers and interested parties are encouraged to attend.
