Oct. 25th Exhibition race Canceled

Recommended Posts

Time restraints have caused us to cancel the exhibition race at the Travis County Expo Center scheduled for the 25th of Oct.

It turns out their is a lot more work involved in getting a track set up out there than we had planned for. It has been agreed upon by the NasKart Officials that it would be best for everyone involved to cancel the event.

We will hold an event there when we have more time to plan an exicute.

Thanks to the folks at the Austin State Fair for inviting us.

The expo was not going to be a race. Only an exibition where we staged a race for the fans. The area was not big enough to really race safely.

As it turns out , they wanted us to put up the barriers protecting the fans. That is where the to much work came in to play.

The final points race will be in Houston on November 8th. we will not try to schedule another race between now and then.

Remember when you were behind in the points?

Dropping a race from our schedule is not an option, Because the points are to close.

If we drop a points race from the schedule, then I move that we drop a drop from the drops. We initially had 4 drops and the 5th was added due to an added race.

Could the NASKARTS council put this to vote?

I heard them as well!! Bummer to get the free ads and not be able to race!! But WE would have ALOT of setup to do and they wanted us to pay/provide for it all. Even fences or barriers to protect the crowd. Thats alot of work to plan for and setup in just 1 week.
