Driving for Golden State Racing; early in the season she shattered the track record which she still owns with a 13.69 second qualifying lap. Bumbera also made her debut in two races in the NASCAR Camping World Series West finishing 11th and 14th on two of the toughest tracks on the schedule, Kyle, TX and Irwindale, CA. On her first weekend home she traveled to Monroe, LA to Monroe Motor Speedway, a 3/8’s mile banked concrete oval. This was the first time for the young 20 year old to see this new track. Not only did Bumbera set the fastest time for the weekend she also broke the previous track record of 15.09 with a blistering 14.99 second lap. The first driver to ever get into the 14 second range she out qualified the next position by 4-tenths of a second. “We were a little bummed because we had been running laps of 14.93 seconds,” said Bumbera. She would go on to lead the majority of the feature race and finish second. Bumbera’s next scheduled race will be back at Monroe Motor Speedway on November 16th where she will blow in from Texas one more time to attempt a better track record and claim the win in a 100 lap event.
