HMP results

Matt did an excellent job getting through traffic early in the race. But lets tell the story like it was, the 96 car broke early in the race. The 13 car didnt practice a lap becuase Denny thought T Wade was going to run and he didnt show so he started the race with no practice. No one really knows what would of happened if ther had been a caution late in the race. The 02 team have been strong everytime they show up to the track and they deserve this win but not sure if it was a true clinic or not.

I would NEVER count either of the Davidsons out until the checkered flag falls because they have good equipment,a great crew and both drivers are talented.(Not to mention all the experience)Matt has only been racing oval track for a short while and this is the first time he has ever had a top notch crew cheif(Mike McCurley).Over the coarse of the last year he gained confidence in his car and Mikes set-ups and I have seen him get faster and faster.He has had some competetive times out east also just has not had the finish to go with them(but he will).I could'nt be there last night to witness for myself but looking at E.T.s the Spring Viper racing team had a good night!!!!!Good job guys!!!!!!!

I think the spotter was the key to Matt's success. That guy knew exaclty what he was doing!

 

 

Actually I was trying to keep us both out of trouble! I think it worked. Race was pretty clean. At least from where I was watching. Matt was by himself so my job was easy. All the lapped cars were very respectful and let him go with ease. Thanks guys!

 

Good race and not much damage done to the cars.

JC I wasn't being disrespectful to the other drivers on the "clinic" comment just trying to give Matt the kudos he deserves for a great race.

Guess I was wrong about who the spotter was!!!! So whens the car coming out of semi retirement????
