I'm new to the website but I googled Bluebonnett Speedway a while back and saw where y'all had talked about it.

My dad and I went there every saturday night in the early 70's. It was in the Whiskey Flatts community off of hwy 377. I remember Bobby Tolsdorf, Wild Bill Tolsdorf, Robert Burrows, Don Tammen, James Pack, Ray Blohm, Etc.

Bobby Tolsdorf first raced for my dad when he was 18. That was about 1954 or 55. They raced at the old Riverside Speedway.

The Mansfield Raceway was owned by Grady Smith. I still see his son George walking around at Cowtown every now and then. It did try to make a comeback in 1982. I went out there when I was helping Claud Estes.

It's nice to hear about this piece of my childhood!

If I remember right it was west of 287 on 157 on the south side of Mansfield.

I looked up the address for Grady Smith which was who owned it. He lived on the property. The address for him is 14132 County Road 515 Venus, Tx 76084. I looked it up on yahoo and it does look close to where I thought it was. It is off of 157 south and west of 287 just like the 97car said.
