Big G Smith
We will be requiring Transponders for all NasKart Points races for the 2009 season. Quite a few of the guys already have them. The guys who do not need to start looking around for the best deal. They are not real cheep although once you have it , they last for years and their is a very good resale value for them. The engine rules will stay the same for 2009. We have gotten most everyone up to speed with the current modifications allowed. The engines are to the point now where a little more maintenance is required to keep them at full song but you don't need to worry about blowing up if they are built using a bearing in the bottom end. We are in the process of finding a local source to do the machine work on the rod and crank to fit the bearing. At this time, our source is NR Racing in Michigan. It takes about a month to get one turned around. The engine rules will be strictly enforced, so make sure you read the rules section on the NasKarts web site before you start making a lot of modifications to your engine (NASKARTS.COM) We want to grow this class for the rest of this year and next and are confident that having a stable set of rules to follow is in the best interest of all involved.
