TRP
Couldn't reply on this forum, because we've been working at the track all evening. It is 12:45 am on Thurday morning and just got home. There has not been a single drop of rain at Texana. Bruce worked at the track all day on Wednesdahy, I joined in Wed night, and it is looking excellent!!!! We will be right back at it again bright and early Thursday morning, all day on Thursday, and into Thursday night, and right back at it again on Friday morning. If weather does not throw a curve ball, this will be one fine racing surface come Friday night! Although the chances of rain still show fairly high in the predictions (although they have dropped), we really believe the rain chances will continue to diminish. Out at the track tonight it was just about one of the most beautiful nights I've seenin a while. Clear, able to see lots of stars, and mild temperatures. We won't be able to monitor this forum during the day on Thursday. If anything happens at all, we are very quick to update the Texana home page and the track phone recorder. Get em loaded, think positive, and let's go racing! -Monty **wanted to update this post. It is now Thursday morning 5:45 am....... Someone or someones together have influence with the man upstairs. Check out the link at the bottom of the Texana home page. chance of rain has dropped back to the normal summer type forecast. Now, really get em loaded!!!! TRP
Thx jehomt.. We did end up getting a shower at the track today about 11:30 am. The track had just been rolled, so it actually worked out good. All this did was change our watering plan for today with the assistance of the natural water. Hey everybody, let's go racing on Independence Day! TRP
I bet everyone is excited for this one! Now, we need July 4th to be kind to us and stay dry. Here is a final update on the track prep for today: Bruce worked on drying out the pit parking this afternoon. That will be in good shape tomorrow. Already looked good this evening. The track actually received 1.5" of rain during that shower today. We won't be able to get back on the track surface until tomorrow morning, when we'll be back to watering. The rain from today should be soaking, in the meantime. For the heavy track lovers, that is our intended goal for tomorrow with the sprints. We'll try to be successful. See ya Friday! -Monthy WHAT CLASSES ARE RUNNING THURSDAY ? ANY RACE ON SATURDAY Rob, we'll be running , Limited Mods, Mods and ASCS Gulf South Sprints running on Friday. We anticipate cars from the Valley, Corpus, Houston, Hill Country and all part in between for Limieds and Mods. The sprint competitors will be froma number of areas. Saturday is the "Fender Class Clash" featuring Mini Stocks, Classic Dwarfs, Bombers, Hot Stock Trucks, Super Stocks, and a special attraction of a three tiered event consisting of a Blindfold Race, Reverse Race and Demolition Derby finale. Lots of extra money in several classes.

Danielsen Motorsports
Hell I was excited before all of these extra's. We changed from our original plans early this year which involved changing the class and track we had planned racing at. Boy was someone watching over us because ever since Edna has totally surpassed any of the tracks we have raced at over the past several years in every aspect! We travel 3 hours just to get to the track so there is really no way we can do nothing but possibly break even at best with todays expenses. Nontheless we have come home having fun and excited about going back each race. I am glad to see others doing the same and Edna getting recognized for their hard work. Its alot of work to run a track so you might as well do it right and this place certainly is. See ya Saturday Night.

Danielsen Motorsports
Seems that the sprinters attract rain. Those poor guys get half their races rained out. Should make Saturday night awfully big if we can get it in.
