NickHolt
PRESS RELEASE - JUNE 22, 2008 Contact: Cheri 281-685-0449 cherib@kristinbumbera.us Kristin Bumbera dominates "Rumble in Roseville" Roseville, CA (June 23, 2008) - Kristin Bumbera had a great weekend racing in the "Rumble in Roseville" twin 75 lap features at All American Speedway. She qualified 4th out of the 22 car field and won the fast car Trophy Dash. With a four car invert, Kristin started the feature from the pole along side current NASCAR state point's leader Gary Glenn. The two battled side by side for about ten laps with Kristin eventually pulling away. She absolutely dominated the race and won by a full straightaway while lapping up to seventh place. In the Winner's circle, Kristin got out of her car to a standing ovation...she is building quite a fan base in northern California! The 2nd feature had Kristin starting 6th and she quickly got to second by lap four. She took over the lead at one point and continued to challenge for the lead several times but on lap 46 a pinion gear broke in the rear end and she had to retire just 29 laps short of winning the $4,000 purse. A great night overall in spite of the problem. "It was a pleasant surprise to get a good luck wish from NASCAR's Bob Duvall before the race as well as a big congratulations afterwards for a job well done. We knew our first win had to be coming soon. We have been running so good every week," stated Bumbera. Golden State Racing team owner, Frank Jordan, was happy as well, "It was great to have Bob here with us to see Kristin get her first win for the Drive for Diversity program." This marks the first win by a female in the 2008 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program in addition to her two pole awards in just the first 7 races this season. Bumbera also shattered the All American Speedway track record on June 14th owning it now at a firm 13.69 seconds. Kristin Bumbera is back on the track Saturday, June 28th at All American Speedway with Golden State Racing. For more information visit www.kristinbumbera.com and www.goldenstateracing.com. Bumbera's Golden State Racing #00 is sponsored by TXI Riverside, Maximizer Concrete and AT&T.
