NeilTPS Posted May 17, 2008 Report Share Posted May 17, 2008 TPS Announces $650 to win and big purse at RRS San Antonio, Texas The Texas Pro Sedans Series has announced $650 to win and a projected a purse of $4,500 for the second 2008 season TPS race on June 14 at Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas. TPS Race & Administrative Director, Neil Upchurch recently announced that for the Texas Pro Sedans Series event at Red River Speedway $650 is guaranteed to the winner of the 40 lap feature race. Also, the field purse has been posted at $4,500 if twenty-two cars start the race. Upchurch credited the large purse to the new owners and management of Red River Speedway and several important sponsor postings from: Tom Lorenz, Hoosier Tires Southwest, Balch Springs, Texas Richard and Bea Villanueva of San Antonio Nelson Skinner, Attorney at Law, San Antonio Ken’s Pizza, Iowa Park, Texas Chase Wright of Wichita Falls (a pitcher with the New York Yankees) The San Antonio based four cylinder stock car series is currently contesting it’s 33rd consecutive year of racing during their 2008 TPS season. The June 14th race at Red River Speedway marks the TPS season mid-way point and will be TPS’s second trip to Wichita Falls. The official June 14 Texas Pro Sedans Race Bulletin and Entry Form was mailed to all TPS members on May 12. The same pre-race material was also e-mailed to non-members.
