Spectator Races This Saturday and Flowers for Mom

TRP

Recommended Posts

This Saturday, May 10th, we'll have the return of the much requested Spectator Races

Paying $200 to win and a nice trophy.

An event for the fans, we debuted this special addition in 2007 and it was a big hit with the fans. We will not be allowing any currently registered race drivers to participate. This is for the fans to have a chance to test their skills against the track.

This will be held during intermission. The only cost is the purchase of a pit pass. Competitors must be a minimum of 18 years old and wear a helmet. The vehicle can be any four or more wheeled vehicle and must display current registration and inspection. The vehicle must have the manufactures driver seat belts at a minimum.

Each competitor will be paired up in an elimination style competition. Race for one lap. The winner comes back for another round and the loser leaves the track. The competition continues until there are two remaining. The last two competitors will go for two laps and the winner takes the $200 and the 2008 Spectator Racer Trophy.

Also, before the night's races begin, our featured driver this week will be Sandra Hudgeons. A real favorite of fans and drivers alike, fans won't want to miss the opportunity to meet Sandra from 6:30 pm to 7pm in the general admission area and see her car as well. Sandra will have photos to autograph for the first 150 fans and we'll have some other surprises for the kids.
