Jason
I cannot believe Kasey Kahne has turned his back on Ford. They brought him up and have given him so much. The plan was to run limited cup 2004 then full time 2005 and yet he turns his back and goes Dodge. Why would Ford even let him out of his contract? This is so stupid. I remember when the same thing happened to Ford 11 years ago. Not good to burn bridges in such a young career.

tqj3
Guys, the reason Jeff Gordon could leave Ford was that Ford did not sign him to a contract. When Chevy found out Ford didn't have a contract with Gordon, Chevy offered him a good one. Maybe Kahne is in the same position: they wanted him, but not enough to sign a contract with him. It's unlikely that he could walk away if he did have a contract unless some arrangements were made.
Jason
TQ, It has been pretty open that Kahne is under contract with ford through 2005 I think and with RYR until 2006.
