NickHolt Posted March 10, 2008 Report Share Posted March 10, 2008 Beat The Heat special this weekend at Lady Luck Speedway LUBBOCK, Texas (March 10) – Both IMCA Modifieds and Southern SportMods take to the track for two nights of point races at Lady Luck Speedway’s inaugural Beat The Heat special Friday and Saturday, March 14-15. Modifieds chase a top prize of $500 in each show, while Southern SportMods compete in $350-to-win contests. A minimum of $75 will be paid to all feature qualifiers and all applicable IMCA points will be awarded. Pit gates at Lubbock open at 6 p.m. and the grandstands open at 6:30 p.m. each night, with hot laps at 8 p.m. and racing to follow. Gates open at 3 p.m. and an open practice session gets underway at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 13. Admission to both race programs is $7 for adults and $3 for kids 7-12; youngsters six and under are admitted free. Pit passes are $25 and $10 for six and under.
