NeilTPS Posted December 25, 2007 Report Share Posted December 25, 2007 Texas Pro Sedans – 2008 Revised Schedule San Antonio, Texas A ten event 2008 race schedule has been announced for the upcoming Texas Pro Sedans racing season. The schedule will initiate the 33rd consecutive year of racing by the Texas four cylinder stock car series. Two races at Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas were recently added to the Texas Pro Sedans racing schedule. Inking the contract with TPS was RRS General Manager, Mike Cooper. The ¼ mile, 13 degree banked asphalt oval was recently purchased by new owner Short Track Motorsports of Lewisville, Texas and is reopening on March 29. The event will be the first appearance of the Texas Pro Sedans at Red River Speedway. The TPS schedule is highlighted by eight signed races with Thunderhill Raceway Owner/ Promoter Mary Ann Naumann. Thunderhill Raceway is a 3/8 mile D shaped asphalt oval near Kyle, Texas. Race Date ...... Track/Event (race remarks) March 29 ........ Thunderhill Raceway … (Time Trials, 33 Lap Feature Race (“12th THR Spectacular”) November 8 ..... 2008 TPS Awards Dinner (location – Earl Abels Restaurant, San Antonio) In the event of postponement, the following “Rain Date policy ” has been agreed upon between Thunderhill Raceway and the Texas Pro Sedans: "THR management will attempt to reschedule all rained out events. Rescheduling is at the discretion of THR". For both races at Red River Speedway, the rain date will be on Sunday following the race date. Was told this track is same as Altus in configuration, so loose in one corner and push in the other I guess. Coming back from Vegas the night before though.
