Allison Legacy Pre-Season Tech

Recommended Posts

We have two confirmed tech dates set for the Allison Legacy cars...

The first will be held on December 22, located at:

Andersen Racing/Dickinson Machine

2903 Oak Park St.

Dickinson, TX 77539

Starting at 8 am

The second will be held on January 5, located at:

Thunderhill Raceway

24801 IH35

Kyle, TX 78640

Starting at 9 am

We understand these dates are short notice, but we are trying to make sure all cars can be teched, and the new updated safety modifications are taken care of, prior to the season opener. We set up two separate tech dates to help accommodate the drivers from all areas.

The drivers will be responsible for bringing/supplying their own adequate tools. This does not mean you have to bring your "rolling toolboxes". Bring the essentials you would use to tune your car between races, including your metric wrenches, jacks and jack stands. You will be responsible for any replacement parts necessary.

At both locations we will have registration forms for CompCar. The NASA licensing information will be discussed and supplied at this time for you to do at your convenience.

Any replacement parts costs will need to be paid for separately from the CompCar registration.

If you need directions to Andersen Racing/Dickinson Machine, please contact Randy Andersen at dickinsonmachine@verizon.net.

For directions to Thunderhill Raceway, and any question regarding registration or licensing, please contact Jay Carley at 301-748-7783.

All tech question need to be directed to Mark Chapin. His contact number is 940-464-7132.

Please email me at kweir@texomalegacymotorsports.com to confirm. We need a head count for each location and so we make sure we will have enough parts available for both locations. We are also working with THR to possibly be able to have practice. It will depend on car count and weather. So, please email with confirmation.

Again, we apologize for the short notice. If for some reason there is a considerable shortage of car count at these tech dates, not just one or two, we may be able to add an additional tech date at ONE location. I would suggest you try to make one we have scheduled. Not only will this guarantee a location closest to you, it will give you ample time to have your car back for you to do the safety modifications required!

In addition, if you have any questions on the new safety updates or if you would like help with your modifications, Randy Andersen will be able to address your issues...

Thank you,

Kathie Weir

Just a friendly reminder that Saturday we meet at Dickinson Machine for the 1st pre-season tech session. Bring your cars, and your cheery smiles! This should be a fast and painless process.

See you all there!
