David Starr to appear live on Austin's Motorsports Zone radio show

It's been a very busy two weeks for David Starr.

First, the Texan committed to driving the #75 Spears Manufacturing

Chevrolet truck in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for next season, amid

rumors he was being pursued heavily by the Toyota teams that will make their

debut in CTS next season.

Second, it was announced yesterday that Starr will drive the NASCAR Busch

Grand National Car owned by Holigan Racing and sponsored by Lifekey Health

Care, Inc. The Busch team will be featured each week in "The Reality of

Speed," a 52-week reality show debuting on the Spike TV network.

Starr will be a live guest of "The Motorsports Zone" this Sunday. The

Motorsports Zone will air at 10 a.m. CT on KVET-AM 1300, The Zone, and can

be heard online, via audio stream, at www.sportsradio1300.com. KVET-AM 1300

is the flagship station for the University of Texas sports.

The Motorsports Zone is hosted by Chuck Licata and Ric Clark.

Guests on The Motorsports Zone show this year have included Winston Cup

drivers Terry Labonte, Steve Park, Dave Blaney, Dale Jarrett, Rusty Wallace,

Jeff Green, Brett Bodine and Larry Foyt; NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

drivers Brendan Gaughan, David Starr and Rick Crawford; NASCAR Busch Grand

National driver Joe Aramendia; ASA driver Casey Smith, an Austin hometown

favorite; 2003 IRL points champion Scott Dixon, 2003 Indy 500 winner Gil de

Ferran, former 2-time Indy 500 champion Helio Castroneves, and IRL drivers

Tony Kanaan, Robbie Buhl, Sarah Fisher and Dan Wheldon.

Starr will also announce an upcoming appearance in Austin on the show.
