First, the Texan committed to driving the #75 Spears Manufacturing Chevrolet truck in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for next season, amid rumors he was being pursued heavily by the Toyota teams that will make their debut in CTS next season. Second, it was announced yesterday that Starr will drive the NASCAR Busch Grand National Car owned by Holigan Racing and sponsored by Lifekey Health Care, Inc. The Busch team will be featured each week in "The Reality of Speed," a 52-week reality show debuting on the Spike TV network. Starr will be a live guest of "The Motorsports Zone" this Sunday. The Motorsports Zone will air at 10 a.m. CT on KVET-AM 1300, The Zone, and can be heard online, via audio stream, at www.sportsradio1300.com. KVET-AM 1300 is the flagship station for the University of Texas sports. The Motorsports Zone is hosted by Chuck Licata and Ric Clark. Guests on The Motorsports Zone show this year have included Winston Cup drivers Terry Labonte, Steve Park, Dave Blaney, Dale Jarrett, Rusty Wallace, Jeff Green, Brett Bodine and Larry Foyt; NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers Brendan Gaughan, David Starr and Rick Crawford; NASCAR Busch Grand National driver Joe Aramendia; ASA driver Casey Smith, an Austin hometown favorite; 2003 IRL points champion Scott Dixon, 2003 Indy 500 winner Gil de Ferran, former 2-time Indy 500 champion Helio Castroneves, and IRL drivers Tony Kanaan, Robbie Buhl, Sarah Fisher and Dan Wheldon.
